LGBTQ+ Inclusive Care

UI Health is dedicated to providing respectful, compassionate, personalized care for every patient. As healthcare equality leaders, we are committed to removing barriers to care for LGBTQ+ patients and providing the accessible, affirming healthcare services they need and deserve.

Our Inclusive Care Specialists

Our providers are committed to delivering compassionate, inclusive care for the unique needs of LBGTQ+ patients, including primary and specialty care services accessible through in-person appointments or virtual visits.

Inclusive Care Services

Primary Care Services

Primary Care Services support patients through affirming, family-centered preventative care and chronic disease management, from birth through adulthood.

Chronic Disease Management

We provide general care, including monitoring of chronic conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and more at our various Primary Care clinics.

Family & Community Medicine

For people who choose to parent, UI Health offers affirming, family-centered well-child and acute care visits from birth to adulthood.

Gender Affirmation Surgery

The Gender Affirmation Surgery Program understands that transitioning is a journey that begins long before your surgical procedure. Each transition is a personal, distinct experience that involves a myriad of factors: psychological, hormonal, aesthetic, legal, and more.

Fertility & Reproduction

The Center for Reproductive Health offers safe, confidential care for people who seek family-planning advice and contraception counseling.

Behavioral Health

Our Psychiatry Services and Mile Square Health Center locations provide care for all behavioral and mental health needs, including those that are unique to LGBTQ+ individuals.

HIV Care & Management

The UI Health Community Clinic Network provides HIV care services throughout Chicagoland, including Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) HIV-prevention services.
